This place is lovely for a lunch but, very disappointed in our works Christmas meal. Potatoes hardly roasted, frozen Yorkshire that you couldn't get your knife through, mushed vegetables you couldn't see, and a teaspoon of gravy. The service was very rushed and hot plates passed over our heads. At 25.00 per head expected a much better Christmas meal.
nice place very clean , scones and toasted tea cake would be nice in the mornings with coffee , just a thought .
Excellent for lunch. Great choice of beers and food is good. Service can sometimes be slow depending on time of day and number of staff available. Good historic brewery with a very informative tour. Staff are lovely and very welcoming.

The food and atmosphere in the bar are superb, and being part of the brewery there are plenty of ales to choose from. There's a nice corner with comfy chairs just to the right of the stairs coming in, and the rest of the tables and chairs are rustic and solid. It seems to be quiet whenever I've gone, except when the brewery tour is starting / finishing.
